Today, we’ll begin with a fascinating full-day Hanoi City Tour, which takes you to the city’s top highlights:

First, you’ll visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and his famous stilt house. Next, you’ll see the Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda.

You’ll then explore the historic Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university dating back to the 11th century, and the Ethnology Museum, where you can learn about the diverse ethnic groups of Vietnam.

Following these visits, you’ll explore the charming Old Quarter of Hanoi, known for its narrow streets and specialized craft guilds.

After exploring these sites, you’ll enjoy a unique water puppet show, which showcases traditional Vietnamese folklore and culture. You’ll then have a local dinner before transferring to Hanoi Train Station to board an overnight train to Lao Cai, where you’ll have a 4-berth soft sleeper cabin for the journey.

At around 6:00 am, you’ll arrive at the Lao Cai train station, where your driver and local tour guide will be waiting for you at the exit, holding a sign with your name. They will then transfer you to the town of Sapa, which is about a 45-minute drive.

Once in Sapa, you’ll have breakfast before embarking on a walking tour to the nearby hill tribe village of Cat Cat, home to the Hmong minority people. This will be an opportunity for you to experience the local culture and traditions firsthand, as you interact with the families living in the area. After having lunch, you’ll head back to Sapa town.

Upon arriving in Sapa, you’ll check in to your hotel and have the rest of the afternoon free to explore the town on your own. Overnight will be spent in Sapa.

After breakfast at your hotel in Sapa, you’ll transfer to the nearby Lao Chai village, where you’ll begin your trekking adventure. The trek will take you through the scenic Muong Hoa Valley, eventually reaching Ta Van village, home to the Red Dzao and Dzay ethnic minority groups.

During the trek, you’ll have the opportunity to admire the stunning natural scenery of the valley. Once in Ta Van, you’ll enjoy a local lunch before heading back to Sapa in the early afternoon.

The rest of the afternoon in Sapa will be free for you to explore the town at your own pace. Later in the day, you’ll transfer back to the Lao Cai train station to board your overnight train back to your next destination.

On the last day, you’ll arrive back in Hanoi around 5:00 am. Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up and transferred to your hotel.

The rest of the morning will be free time for you to do as you please, whether that’s resting at the hotel or exploring Hanoi on your own before your departure.

Later in the day, you’ll be transferred to the Hanoi airport to catch your flight to your next destination, marking the end of the Hanoi to Sapa 5-Day Tour.
