Bánh tráng nướng (grilled girdle-cake)
Can be spotted at every corner of Dalat, banh trang nuong is a large sheet of rice paper grilled over topless coals and overtopped with many kinds of delightful goodies. This dish features various ingredients such as: dried beef, fried tiny shrimps, chopped meat, eggs and spring onions with the dish side of chili sauce. While being cooked, they will roll it up with all of the ingredients inside. You can enjoy the cake for only 7000 VND- 8000 VND per one.
Cha Ram Bap
Being a crispy and fried sweet corn with rice paper roll, cha ram bap is one of the most famous dishes in Dalat. Before being dipped into sweet and spicy sauce, a rice paper with a mixture of dried baby prawns and eggs is barbecued. When waiting for the delicious dish, you will be served beforehand some fresh fruits like carrots and cucumber and herbs which are eaten with Cha ram bap. Bánh Ướt Gà (wet chicken cake)
Served with chicken and chicken hearts, banh uot ga (wet chicken cake) is very exotic and tasty thanks to the harmonious combination of plastic bread, chicken soft with crispy and sweet chicken heart. Mì Quảng (Quang Noodles)
Can be eaten as a soup or a dry dish, Mi Quang is a type of noodle made from rice flour. Although it might remind you of Mi Quang in Danang, there is a little difference here on its way up from the coast to the mountains. Not only being served with more gravy and herbs, Mi Quang in Dalat with the gigantic pig’s trotter which is always overcooked until the fat and meat are so tender that you can feel it melt in your mouth is a must-eat dish. Moreover, instead of the thick yellow noodles used in the coast, Mi Quang in Dalat which is replaced with thin white ones, costs about 30,000 VND.
