The Dalat version is more elaborately prepared on a thicker rice paper; it features a cracked chicken egg topped pizza style with slices of sausage, tiny dried shrimp, assorted cooked seafood, green onions and cheese. South Vietnam tours packages
It is easy to cook, you could do by yourself. Spread all toppings of your choice over the rice paper and grill over char coal until the butter and cheese melted. Next, crack a quail egg on top and swirled the egg around with a spoon to break up the egg and mix it all up with the rest of the ingredients. The egg adds taste value as well as helps the ingredients stick to the rice paper and possibly to wet the “banh trang” a little bit so that it will cook properly on the grill.
