FULL DAY ITINERARY: CAN GIO MANGROVE FOREST DISCOVER

Your Can Gio Mangrove Forest adventure begins with a 7:30 AM pickup from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel. Then, travel to Binh Khanh Ferry, where you’ll board a boat to Can Gio island. As you approach the UNESCO-recognized mangrove forest, take in the lush scenery and observe the riverside communities:

  • Explore a local fishing hamlet to learn about the unique flora and fauna of the mangroves.
  • Paddle through the serene waters to discover the Reserve Bats Lagoon and crab ponds.
  • Enjoy a delightful encounter with friendly deer, offering them food and observing them up close.
  • Then, visit a crocodile farm to witness these prehistoric creatures in their habitat and learn about their life cycle.

Next, ascend the Tang Bong tower in Vam Sat for breathtaking panoramic views of the mangrove forest. Test your courage by crossing a nearby suspension bridge.

After a satisfying lunch featuring local cuisine, head to Monkey Island, home to over 1,000 primates. Observe their playful antics in their natural environment.
